Job Title: Benefits Specialist 
Reports To: Director of Human Resources and Benefits
Location: Remote possible Hybrid model
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
Compensation: Depending on experience
Experience Required: Recent Benefits administration experience and Proficient in Excel to include vlookup and pivot tables.

Summary:

Provides support to the organization on benefits and other HR related projects. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Review and approve payroll previews to ensure the proper deduction adjustments are deducted.
  • Assist with preparation and performs New Hire Benefits Orientation 
  • Responds to employee and dependent inquiries regarding ADP, benefits enrollment and general benefit information
  • Monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices to include breakdown by Company/Department to submit to Accounts Payable for payment.
  • Assist with creating benefit communications.
  • Review New Hire report to verify that the proper benefit communication triggered from ADP for timely benefit enrollment
  • Review PAF’s from HR Ops with change in hours/status to ensure benefit enrollment events triggered in ADP and proper communication went to employees.
  • Run termination report to properly allocate deductions on final check, if necessary and post to BDS for proper payroll processing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, including: Medical, Dental, 401(k) administration, health & wellness initiatives preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills for communicating with both internal employees and external vendors.
  • Proficient in Excel to include vlookup and pivot tables.
  • ADP vantage and myADP knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
