Customer Service Representative – REMOTE

  • Location: Remote (Miami, FL, Must live in area for Possible on site training) 
  • Shifts: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm- Monday – Friday
  • Pay: $17-$19/hr Depending on Experience 
  • Our Musts: Must be fluent in English and Spanish (Written and Verbal) 
  • Experience1 year call center and/or medical/dental customer service experience are required

Customer Service Representative:

The Customer Service Representative assists members and their families in accessing dental benefits and resolving issues related to accessing benefits. Receives and handles all incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Seeks to prevent members from voluntarily terminating and assists in the reinstatement of those members who voluntarily terminated coverage.

Principal Accountabilities are, but not limited to:

  • Thoroughly understands the dental benefits industry (HMO and PPO) and the products the company offers.
  • Receives, records, and resolves member inquiries, incidents and complaints.
  • Answers calls in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  • Routinely accesses member information via the software system.
  • Accurately documents member contacts on the software system.
  • Is familiar with the network providers.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with providers and state agencies.
  • Attempts to salvage members calling in to request voluntary termination.
  • Screens telephone calls and directs to the appropriate person as necessary.
  • Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Resolves customer service inquiries which could include:
      • Benefit and eligibility information
      • Billing and payment issues
      • Explanation of treatment plan and treatment plan options
      • Customer material requests
      • Dental office assignments
      • Authorization for treatment
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures.
  • Works independently.
  • May act as a resource for others.
  • May coordinate other’s activities.
  • May coordinate and attend enrollment meeting or educational activities in the community.


  • Associate degree
  • Knowledge of HMO/PPO/Medicare and medical/dental terminology is preferred
