Qualified candidates will possess:

• BS Pharmacy degree (Required)/PharmD degree (Preferred) from an accredited
School of Pharmacy
• Masters of Business or Masters of Healthcare Administration degree
• ASHP accredited PGY-1 with PGY-2 residency in Pharmacy Administration
• Board Certification (Preferred)
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Maryland

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Has at least Five years of pharmacy management/supervisory experience in an
acute care hospital setting
•Multi-site management experience (preferred)
•Knowledge of TJC requirements, CMS Conditions of Participation, DEA, Board of •Pharmacy, and 340B regulations
•Skilled at writing policies and procedures
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Knowledge of software: Word , Excel, and Microsoft Office
•Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels, and
MacroHelix preferred
•Maryland Pharmacist License, current and in good standing Board certification

John Sackett joined Shady Grove Medical Center as president in April 2013.[2]

Shady Grove Medical Center is located within a 600-acre Life Sciences Center (LSC), which has Montgomery County’s largest concentration of advanced technology companies including the hospital, Johns Hopkins University-Montgomery County Campus (JHU-MCC), the Universities at Shady Grove and biotechnology companies.[3][4]

As part of the Shady Grove Life Sciences Campus, the hospital established a partnership in 2008 with the Universities at Shady Grove and Salisbury University to offer a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy at the USG campus in Rockville.[5][6] It also hosts nursing students from surrounding community colleges such as Montgomery College.[7]
