The selected candidate will work a combination of weekday and weekend shifts for up to approximately 30 hours per week.
The candidates can propose a schedule (as long as it includes Saturday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday 7:30 am to at least noon).

Part-time position: 20- 30 hours per week – Saturday and Sunday hours required, with shifts starting at 7:30 am. Specific schedule will be determined through discussions with candidate.

Minimum qualifications: New York State Registered Nurse (RN); 1-year minimum experience in direct clinical care, experience administering vaccines (including the MMR vaccine); Current Basic Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science (BSN) or higher degree in nursing. Experience with communicable disease and/or outbreak response and control activities. Experience administering vaccines to children. Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize workload; competence with Microsoft Word; ability to use web-based computer systems; experience and strong comfort level communicating with health care providers.

Job Description:

• Assist the Bureau of Immunization with COVID-19 vaccine response activities, including:
o provider training and quality improvement activities
o provider support and clinical guidance coordination
o provider outreach and enrollment
o provider education and technical assistance

• Conduct provider training and quality improvement activities aimed at increasing access to vaccines to children eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
