Patient Age Group – Adults and Geriatrics
Staffing Ratios 1:4 all shifts
Floating within service line, floating between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed.
FLOAT UNITS: Neuro/ Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surg, Uro/Vascular, Observation
Every Other Weekend Required
Medication System Pyxis
Epic preferred
Patient Diagnoses: Chest pain, Abdominal pain, Atrial Fibrillation, TIA, Anemia/GI Bleed, Dehydration/AKI, Syncope, Vertigo, COPD, Asthma, UTI/Pyelonephritis, Headache/Migraine, CHF, Seizure, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Pancreatitis, Cellulitis, Post-outpatient surgery complications, etc.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Around 2/3 of our patients are currently managed under our EDOBS providers located within the department from 7a – 7p and reachable via phone call to the ED from 7p – 7a. Fast pace department with a length of stay goal of 18 – 24 hours.
ACLS, BCLS, NIH Required
Telemetry Required
Observation Medicine Experience Preferred
Charge Nurse Experience Preferred
Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred
2 Years Minimum Experience Required
Must be familiar with intermediate medication gtts (ie: heparin, nitro, cardizem, insulin, etc)
Float pool experience preferred.
Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
