CCHMC will now be allowing use of the Emergency Order for nursing licenses. Candidates with any valid state nursing license will be permitted to be submitted, with the understanding that they must apply for an OH license (temp or perm) immediately upon accepting an offer. The application on file will be used as the OH license requirement. Any candidate working under the EO must SIGN BY 12/16/22 to ensure enough time for the OH BON to process the application.
Level IV NICU with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions of the neonate. CCHMC also has a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center. There is a high volume of intubated and acute infants on the unit.
Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity of the Neonate, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Failure to Thrive, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hypoglycemia, Hyperbilirubinemia, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, Pulmonary Hypertension
Must have 2 yrs experience & previous travel experience
First time Travelers will be considered ONLY if they have Level IV experience
Must have NRP and BLS certs
– RTO requests must be presented at time of submission or will not be honored.
– 5 days max can be requested
– No block scheduling request, unless it’s for weekends only (FRI-SUN)
All candidates must be FULLY VACCINATED. No exceptions.
