***Current Turnaround Time From Submittal to Offer is 23-25 Days*** PERMANENT POSITION Salary info: $26.22 – $43.40 Hourly plus shift differentials, eves $3hr and nights $3.50hr. Weekend eves $5hrl Weekend Nights, $6hr Bonus: Up to 15k. 1/2 hire, 1/2 after 12 months Relocation: Up to 5k Unit Info: The Inpatient Oncology unit, 8West/8Northis a 30 bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit as well as a 14-bed intermediate care (IMU) Stem Cell Transplant Unit (SCTU). Joining the Inpatient Oncology team gives new nurses the opportunity to train in both levels of care and gain deep knowledge of the care for the oncology patient. The nurse to patient ratio for 8West/8North is 1:4, while in SCTU it is 1:3 due to the higher level of care for both day shift and night shift. The unit also has a free-floating charge nurse on both shifts. Additional training opportunities for the Inpatient Oncology unit include (but aren’t limited to): oncology core curriculum classes to augment the Nurse Residency Program with oncology specific education, pre-paid online courses through the Oncology Nursing Society (including chemotherapy certification), shadow experiences in several ancillary services throughout hospital, and Stem Cell Transplant/Cellular Therapy training.
