**** CCHMC will accept first time Travelers, however they will still need 2 years of work experience int he specialty they are applying for.
Preferred 1 year of travel experience.
Requirements: Strong communication and relationship building skills; experience with children and adolescents; physically competent to lift 25 lbs and participate in a physical hold/restraint (securing a patients arm/leg while on the ground); successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training which will be provided within the first month of the contract; and consistent compliance with wearing of behavioral personal protective equipment. Previous training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) strongly preferred for select positions.
Locked/secured unit/facility.
Duties include:
Facilitation of therapeutic groups; complete safety checks; assist with ADLs (meal supervision, bathing, toileting, laundry, etc); engage in recreational play with the patients (games, gym, etc); and provide 1:1 sitter supervision for high-risk/acute patients on inpatient unit or in the Emergency Department. Regular shift documentation in an Electronic Medical Record.

-Attend rounds representing information to share with the team
-1:1 connection with assigned patients
-Patient/Family education
-Perform nursing interventions for chronic and acute mental health diagnoses with applicable documentation in EMR
TCI Training preferred.
Previous Charge experience is a plus.
Shift evenings 3p to 1130p
Minimum of 1 yr. experience in Psychiatric setting, PEDS required.
Every other weekend/HOLIDAY required
Unable to guarantee block scheduling but will attempt to work with requests

– 5 days max can be requested
– No block scheduling request, unless it’s for weekends only (FRI-SUN)
