| Unit Specifics: ·Number of Beds : 34 ·Patient Ratios : 6:1 ·Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Tech support on day shift and night shift. Unit secretary 7a-7p. ·Type of equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCD’s, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology ·Documentation system: Meditech ·Scheduling requirements: 3 12 hours shifts/week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4 week schedule ·Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float; go by rotation when there are multiple C/L staff scheduled ·Patient Experience requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients/family members. Bedside shift report, ability to make personal connections with patients and include them/family members in their plan of care.
