The Medical Assistant shortage is here to stay.

The healthcare industry has been a booming field for many years.

Healthcare organizations having a plethora of potential hires is a thing of the past.  The current employment climate has created cold waters for those looking for medical assistants and LPN’s.

According to the Department of Labor, employment of medical assistants is projected to grow over 138,900 jobs from 2014 to 2024, a 23 percent increase that is much faster than the average of 7% growth for all occupations.

This means difficulties in finding qualified and experienced MA’s is not going away any time soon.

Medical providers should expect to be faced with a persistent shortage of skilled workers — from Medical assistants, to nurses to lab technicians — hundreds of thousands of positions will remain unfilled, according to research by global health care staffing consultancy Mercer.

If you are a healthcare organization looking to hire quality medical assistants and allied health staff we highly recommend turning to the pro’s to help you land qualified staff.

We also remind you of the importance of being flexible with the expectations and qualifications you desire of potential hires.

Consider the possibility of hiring a recent graduate and hire based off of potential. We have found that hiring based on an individual’s potential almost always pays off and often lands you an iDEAL employee!
