Registered Nurse Emergency Room
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Salem, VA
Schedule: Full-time, Mids
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
Required Qualifications:
• Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia • 2-3 years of experience in emergency nursing • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Experience with high-acuity patients and fast-paced emergency departments • Knowledge of sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement • Familiarity with EMR systems, such as Meditech
