Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Location: Columbus, OH

Schedule / Job Type: Days, 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients diagnosed with various cancers, including endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
• Administer chemotherapy treatments, including clinical trials and brachytherapy, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform specialized procedures such as brachytherapy and CBI, ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols.
• Monitor telemetry readings, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to patient condition changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, utilizing rapid response teams as needed.
• Manage feeding tubes, IV therapy, blood products, and central line care while accurately documenting patient assessments and interventions in EPIC.

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Tele nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, including dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Experience with oncology procedures such as chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional development.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification.
• Experience in clinical trials and specialized oncology procedures.
• Ability to adapt to rotational scheduling and variable weekend shifts.
