Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, 13-week contract, onsite, days (Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide circulating nursing support in a busy outpatient operating room setting across multiple specialties.
• Assist with standard outpatient surgical procedures including orthopedics, plastics, ophthalmology, ENT, general surgery, urology, pain management, and podiatry.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including scrub personnel and relief staff, to maintain smooth operations.
• Follow all unit policies, procedures, and safety standards, including proper use of PPE and scrubs.
• Provide or learn to provide conscious sedation as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license to practice in Alaska.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of circulating nurse experience in an OR setting.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to scrub on certain cases.
• Willingness and ability to provide conscious sedation.
• Knowledge of various surgical specialties.
