Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment, nights shift, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive patient care on a 46-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 6:1
• Monitor telemetry and perform specialized procedures such as paracentesis and telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, LPNs, PCTs, and clinical staff
• Utilize advanced equipment like GE Apex Pro Telemetry systems, Baxter IV pumps, and Glucometers
• Follow unit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Communicate effectively using tools such as GroupMe and participate in staff recognition initiatives

Required Qualifications
• Active nursing license in good standing (compact license if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Current NIH certification (renewed annually)

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, post-PCI care, chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, and drains
• Knowledge of complex procedures including blood transfusions, central lines, and post-dialysis assessments
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage CPAP therapy
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system
