Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Plano, TX
Schedule / Job Type: Travel / Days shifts, 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) / 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures within the operating room.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Support the surgical team during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Follow unit policies, including adherence to dress code and on-call requirements.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records (Meditech).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an operating room setting.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with procedures such as Orthopedics, Neuro/Spine, Robotics, Plastics, and Trauma preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries and complex procedures.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records.
• Prior travel nursing experience considered a plus.
