Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor postoperative patients overnight with planned discharge the following morning.
• Provide bedside care, assess patient status, and respond to clinical needs during night shifts.
• Document patient information accurately using Epic electronic charting system.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac rhythms and potential arrhythmias.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and safety during overnight hours.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a hospital setting.
• Valid Ohio or Compact state nursing license in hand at the time of submission.
• BLS and ACLS certifications active and current.
• Recent Epic charting experience (within last 6 months).
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• One recent reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.
• BCI/FBI background checks completed within 48 hours of signing contract.
• Nicotine-free status required unless exempt (nurses and CSTs are exempt).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity patients and postoperative care in a telemetry setting.
• Prior experience in a traveling nurse role is a plus.
• Knowledge of hospital electronic systems and documentation protocols.
