Registered Nurse - NICU
Location: Hagerstown, MD
Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, 36 hours per week, nights (3x12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within the LII Nursery setting
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients aged 29-34 weeks gestation, maintaining appropriate patient ratios of 1:4
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring safety and comfort of neonatal patients
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical records system, including EPIC
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans and respond to changing patient needs
• Support well-baby cases within scope as needed and meet facility standards for patient safety and quality care
  Required Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse license (pending licenses accepted)
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of neonatal intensive care experience, specifically NICU II
• Experience working with neonates aged 29-34 weeks
• Ability to float within scope to well baby units when necessary
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required
  
  Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Prior experience in a Level II NICU setting
• EPIC electronic medical record system proficiency
• Ability to work in a fast-paced neonatal environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
