Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in a 14-bed Labor and Delivery unit.
• Administer medications such as oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin infusions, and perform IV starts and labs on mothers and infants.
• Monitor fetal and maternal status using fetal monitors and other specialized equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, postpartum care, and antepartum management while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory and anesthesia support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow unit-specific procedures and protocols, including medication administration and patient documentation via EPIC system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Arkansas or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• BLS certification.
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Ability to start IVs and perform venipuncture.
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma hospital preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN).
• Prior experience with high-risk OB patient populations and neonatal stabilization.
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems.
