Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Travel, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple departments within a 20-mile radius, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols and documentation standards.
• Supervise and coordinate care of LPNs and non-licensed personnel, ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
• Meet patient and family education and discharge planning needs throughout the care episode.
• Comply with protocols, standards of care, and safety regulations.
• Successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test required prior to or during the first week of assignment; re-test allowed if failed initially.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursing license for the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a telemetry or progressive care unit with 18+ beds.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or similar.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel nursing assignment.
• Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR system.
• NIHSS certification (preferred but not required).
