Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient physical therapy services to a diverse patient population
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Assist with patient evaluations, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois State PTA license
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year outpatient therapy experience (First-time applicants are not accepted)
• Experience in neurology and orthopedics preferred
• Strong assessment skills including body mechanics, gait training, and pain evaluation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-stroke rehabilitation
• Knowledge of orthopedics procedures such as gait analysis, joint mobilization, and post-op care
• Familiarity with billing procedures for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
