• Registered Nurse - ICU
Location
• Jacksonville, IL
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts (1900-0730), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients in a 4-bed critical access hospital
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, including multi-system organ failure and cardiac emergencies
• Interpret dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and perform cardiac monitoring
• Administer and manage IV therapies, including arterial lines, blood products, and vasoactive drips
• Assist with ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, chest tubes, and ABGs
• Ensure infection prevention protocols, wound care, and use of PPE are followed diligently
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Active Illinois RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Certifications in ACLS and BLS (issued by AHA or Red Cross)
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response skills
• Experience with IV therapy techniques such as arterial lines, PICC lines, and IV starts
• Able to work nights, every other weekend, with flexible schedule discussions
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Knowledge of surgical wound care and infection control procedures
• Experience managing ventilated patients and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Ability to float within hospital and to affiliated facilities as needed
