Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, working 12-hour shifts, approximately 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical and stroke patients on the unit
• Monitor and evaluate patient health status, administering treatments and medications as prescribed
• Utilize NIHSS certification to assess stroke patients and contribute to effective care planning
• Document patient interactions and care activities accurately in medical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Certification in NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on an ongoing basis
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke patients
• Prior use of electronic medical records systems
• BLS and ACLS certifications
