Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel, 13-week assignment, night shift (7 PM – 7 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy medical surgical unit with a focus on surgical flap and spinal cord injury patients.
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and perform procedures such as wound care, bowel programs, and light burn care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including burn specialists and surgeons, to support patient recovery.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist with semi-private room assignments during high census periods, maintaining high-quality care standards.
• Support patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Colorado.
• BLS certification.
• Previous experience in a medical surgical setting (minimum 2 years).
• Strong skills in wound care and telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for spinal cord injury patients, particularly with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention.
• Familiarity with burn unit care and low-acuity burn patient management.
• Experience working with Meditech EMR system.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy floor environment.
