Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary (13 weeks), night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across various age groups, including initial assessments, ongoing monitoring, and interventions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on clinical assessments and standards of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure quality, safe, and efficient care delivery.
• Document patient information, treatments, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and health promotion activities.
• Function as a resource and team player within the emergency department, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• ACLS and PALS certifications from AHA.
• Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations with professionalism.
• Physical stamina to perform extensive standing, walking, and patient transfers.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of emergency room nursing experience.
• Knowledge of trauma, acute care, and critical care procedures.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
