Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room, PACU, and GI Lab.
• Assist anesthesia with intubation, extubation, and other procedures as needed.
• Maintain sterilization protocols and perform all sterile activities using aseptic technique.
• Document intraoperative records accurately and timely, including counts for sponges, instruments, and sharps.
• Promote patient safety by performing proper time outs prior to incision and acting as a patient advocate throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and team members to ensure quality surgical care and positive patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid Colorado RN license or multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• 1-2 years of prior OR experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in perioperative nursing or operating room settings.
• Familiarity with surgical equipment, sterile techniques, and intraoperative protocols.
