Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment
- Assist with a variety of procedures including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, and OB-GYN
- Participate in patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as needed
- Support surgical team by scrubbing in or circulating during procedures, including C-sections
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
Required Qualifications
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting
- Experience with C-sections required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR system experience from within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Able to work rotating weekly schedules and weekend call (including holidays)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Highly skilled in scrubbing or circulating in the OR
- Experience with invasive monitoring and advanced equipment (ventilators, ABG, etc.)
- Strong understanding of perioperative protocols and procedures
