Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient rehab patients, including assessments of upper extremity ROM, strength, balance, and neuro Retraining.
- Conduct ADL assessments and retraining utilizing adaptive equipment.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and daily huddles to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient progress in the EMR system and ensure compliance with unit policies.
- Support patient independence through therapy interventions and adaptive strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Occupational Therapy License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience assessing upper extremity ROM, MMT, FMC, GCM, and balance
- Ability to perform ADL training and adaptive equipment use
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CARE Tool scoring in inpatient rehab settings
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience with neuro retraining, ROM, and balance exercises
