Job Title

• Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation (Contract)

• Full-time, Contract (13 weeks), On-site, Days (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient rehab patients, including assessments of upper extremity ROM, strength, balance, and neuro Retraining.
• Conduct ADL assessments and retraining utilizing adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and daily huddles to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress in the EMR system and ensure compliance with unit policies.
• Support patient independence through therapy interventions and adaptive strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Texas Occupational Therapy License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience assessing upper extremity ROM, MMT, FMC, GCM, and balance
• Ability to perform ADL training and adaptive equipment use

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CARE Tool scoring in inpatient rehab settings
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Experience with neuro retraining, ROM, and balance exercises

• The unit maintains a 1:3-6 patient ratio, with a team of experienced therapy professionals dedicated to patient recovery.

Dress Code

• Navy Blue scrub top; only two earrings per ear; tattoos must be covered.
