• Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including post-operative cardiac patients.
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to emergencies such as rapid response calls and code blue events.
• Utilize standard ICU equipment including Impella devices and advanced hemodynamic monitoring platforms.
• Document patient care accurately within the Meditech system.
• Float to other units, such as PCU or Medical-Surgical, as required.
• Collaborate with the critical care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state.
• Critical care experience, specifically in cardiac ICU or similar setting.
• Ability to care for post-open heart surgery patients (minimum 1-2 days postoperative).
• Proficiency with invasive procedures such as intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification is a plus.
• Experience with Impella heart pumps and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced ICU environment.
