• Travel, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the intermediate care, progressive care, and stepdown units, focusing on complex medical and cardiac cases.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including performing head-to-toe assessments every six hours and documenting thoroughly in Meditech.
• Administer and titrate IV medications and infusions, including cardiac drips such as Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, and others.
• Manage specialized procedures such as IV insertions, chest tube management, DHT management, tracheostomy care, CVC management, and patient mobility.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, individualized patient care, ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies.
• Maintain certifications and skills required for critical and cardiac patient care, such as BLS and ACLS, and adhere to unit-specific guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown/Critical Care units.
• Proven experience with cardiac/telemetry patient care, including managing complex cardiac conditions.
• Skilled in IV insertion, chest tube management, and other advanced skills listed.
• Ability to perform procedures such as wound care, patient mobility, and medication titration.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system.
• Knowledge of hospital technology including Welch Allyn dynamaps, Philips telemetry, Pyxis, MobiLab, and the use of iMobile devices.
• Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on patient satisfaction and quality metrics.
