• Full-time, temporary (13-16 week assignment)
• Night shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity environment, floating between ICC and ED units as needed.
• Manage a variety of patient conditions including hematology, oncology, sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, anemia, and dehydration.
• Administer treatments, monitor patient status, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all certifications and unit procedures, including EPIC documentation and special procedures.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and support a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• At least 2 professional references, including one from a manager or supervisor.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to obtain Ohio fingerprinting and comply with travel credentialing deadlines.
• Willingness to float between ICC and ED units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in oncology or hematology units.
• Experience with sickle cell crisis management.
• Strong team collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
