Schedule / Job Type
- Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit and Stepdown units
- Float to similar units as needed, based on hospital requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and administer treatments
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience, with at least 1 year in ICU, IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units
- Valid RN license filed at the time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS required prior to start)
- Experience in a large trauma Level I facility within the last year
- Epic EMR system experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Cardiac, vascular, and post-op 1-day open/closed heart experience
- Willingness to work 2 out of 4 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day)
- Must have reliable transportation; personal or rental vehicle recommended, equipped with all-season or snow tires during winter months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PCCN certification preferred but not required
- Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries
