Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing care for surgical patients.
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
- Monitor patient vitals and manage intraoperative equipment during surgeries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient status.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards throughout all cases.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent CVOR Tech/SA experience prior to travel.
- Valid Ohio license, or applicable compact license for eligible starts.
- Ability to recognize ECG rhythms and perform safeMedicate assessments; acceptable scores required during orientation.
- Recent references from a supervisor, ANM, or director in the CVOR specialty.
- Completion of all certifications, including active licenses, with no pending items.
- Ability to work at least every other holiday.
- Successful passing of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate with a maximum of two attempts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a hospital or surgical setting with cardiovascular cases.
- Knowledge of intraoperative procedures and equipment management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
