Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the cath lab and operate essential imaging and procedural equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Document patient information, hemodynamic measurements, and procedure details accurately.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and patient safety protocols during all procedures.
- Support and collaborate with the medical team to optimize patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Maintain operational readiness of major lab equipment and stock supplies as needed.
- Support departmental safety, infection control, and quality assurance measures, including acting as radiation safety representative.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or hold an associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA.
- Valid licensure or registration applicable to modality, e.g., RRT, FUS by MIRTP/NMED, or other relevant state licensure.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 0-1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Certifications such as RCIS, RCES, RCS, or advanced radiography credentials are a plus.
- Familiarity with cath lab equipment and procedures is advantageous.
