Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary, rotational shifts (days and nights), 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and professional nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care, Progressive Care, or Stepdown units
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document observations accurately
• Recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythms and patient emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements
• Complete assessments and participate in orientation requirements, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate exams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the applicable specialty (Cardiac Stepdown experience preferred)
• Active Ohio license or valid Compact State license in hand
• Current American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent travel nursing experience in cardiac stepdown or similar units
• Experience with PCU or progressive care units is advantageous
