• Part-time, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric intensive care patients, including those with Pediatric or Surgical Acute Care (SAC) statuses.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
• Educate patients and families on care, discharge needs, and aftercare procedures.
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Ensure adherence to protocols and standards of care, maintaining competency through education and testing.

Required Qualifications

• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required, with at least 2 years of current PICU experience in a facility with 12+ beds.
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being flexible and team-oriented.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric CVICU experience is a plus.
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
