Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 8-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a busy ER setting.
• Assess, prioritize, and manage patients with various medical conditions, including trauma, stroke, cardiac issues, and psychiatric cases.
• Perform procedures such as U/S IV insertions, IO insertions, laceration repairs, and ECG interpretations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow unit policies and protocols, including completing workups and ordering tests and medications as needed.
• Adapt to fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and effective communication.

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• At least 2 years of emergency department experience (contract staffing).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (must be current).
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and dependability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including every other weekend and on-call shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-acuity ER setting.
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation.
• Experience working with advanced equipment such as Lucas Devices, Hotline Rapid Infuser, and Alaris pumps.
