Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing services on the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at a tertiary care hospital.
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, respond to changes in patient condition, and document patient care accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care for diverse medical-surgical cases.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control practices, and safety protocols.
• Work at least every other holiday as per hospital policy.
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent, perm experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry prior to travel assignment.
• Ohio RN license or valid compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications with active, current status.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Reliable with availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and rotating schedules.
• Must be willing to work even/alternate holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a hospital setting, preferably at a large, tertiary care center.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic systems and shift orientation processes.
• Ability to recognize and respond to cardiac rhythms swiftly and accurately.
