Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for labor and delivery patients in a high acuity, high-volume environment.
- Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, ensuring newborns receive initial assessments, eye and thigh assessments, and administration of eye medication and Vitamin K.
- Circulate during deliveries, assisting with complex procedures such as fetal monitoring, administration of medications (Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate), and supporting multishift care for high-risk patients.
- Support postpartum and antepartum care, floating to sister facilities as needed to assist with Mother/Baby units.
- Ensure compliance with electronic fetal monitoring protocols and AWHONN guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid WA or Compact RN license.
- 3-5 years of recent experience in high acuity, high volume labor and delivery units.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications.
- Evidence of recent supervisory references (covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years).
- Proof of required certifications (not expired).
- Ability to pass a clinical review and demonstrate high-risk obstetric experience with fetal monitoring and neonatal care skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications.
- Experience working with postpartum, antepartum, and community health clinics.
- Prior travel experience with successful compliance.
