  • Full-time, rotating shifts, approximately 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic, portable, bedside, and computed tomography (CT) exams, following department protocols.
  • Review requisitions, determine exam requirements, and position patients accurately using sound anatomical knowledge to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, gather pertinent history, and ensure cooperation, adapting language based on patient age and mental status.
  • Assess patient condition throughout procedures, notify clinical staff of any changes, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare contrast media, inspect supplies, and operate CT and radiographic equipment following safety and quality standards.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat images when necessary, and ensure proper documentation and image management in compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations.
  • Maintain equipment, report malfunctions promptly, and adhere to radiation safety practices, including use of protective devices and personal dosimeters.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, participate in quality improvement activities, and support ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • At least three years of imaging experience, including CT
  • Current Washington State DOH Radiologic Technologist license
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with diverse patient populations and advanced imaging techniques
  • Ability to operate advanced radiology and CT equipment in a hospital setting
