- Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30), full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Support high-risk antepartum and labor/delivery units, including assisting with sterile speculum exams, IV therapy, and medication administration.
- Circulate during C-sections and assist with specialty procedures such as amnio or sterile spec exams.
- Maintain central lines (PICC/CVC), manage medication drips including anticoagulants, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
- Provide patient care for antepartum and postpartum patients, including those with complications such as preeclampsia, previa, diabetes, hypertension, and fetal demise.
- Ensure adherence to unit protocols, including sterile procedures, patient safety, and documentation.
- Float as needed to related units, supporting postpartum and high-risk antepartum care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state's RN license or compact license.
- AWHONN Advanced certification, BLS, NRP (required); ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience, with recent antepartum/high-risk obstetric experience preferred.
- Experience with C-sections, sterile speculum exams, IV therapy, and central line maintenance.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with postpartum mother/baby care, NICU support, and obstetric emergencies.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
