Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac surgery intensive care unit (CVICU) patients at a level 1 facility.
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting.
• Float within scope as needed and ensure compliance with facility policies.
• Complete required modules during orientation and adhere to all facility protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU/CSICU experience.
• Valid VA or compact state nursing license at the time of submission.
• EPIC EMR/charting experience required.
• Must include SSN, DOB, address, phone, and email at submission.
• No pending background checks; all must be cleared prior to start.
• Candidates must be willing to work rotating night and day shifts (3x12 hours).
• Candidate must be able to supply references (minimum 2).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred.
• Experience with modules and ongoing education during orientation.
• Knowledge of Virginia state requirements, including fingerprinting (results needed prior to start).
• Ability to float within scope and work based on unit needs.
