Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Assist with postpartum care, including IV initiation, phototherapy, bubble CPAP maintenance, tube feeding, and management of preterm and neonatal babies.
- Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, medication administration via IV, and assist nurse practitioners with various procedures.
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using GE monitors and document patient information in the CPN system.
- Collaborate with unit staff to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, including Level 2 nursery experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE.
- Experience with postpartum nursing and advanced neonatal skills such as NRP, phototherapy, and bubble CPAP maintenance.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proven experience with IV initiation, tube feeding, managing preterm infants, and low blood sugar babies.
- Ability to perform specialized procedures such as lumbar punctures and assist with complex deliveries.
- Strong familiarity with hospital documentation systems and equipment.
