Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to cardiac and stepdown patients, including those with CHF, MI, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, and post-procedural recovery.
• Monitor patient condition using telemetry and other cardiac equipment, administering titratable IV medications such as nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, insulin drips, heparin, and diuretics.
• Perform bedside procedures including cardioversion, as well as assist with patient assessments and care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical records (Cerner) for documentation and communication.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with stepdown, telemetry, and cardiac IV medication management
• Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Relief charge nurse experience or leadership in a cardiac stepdown unit
• Experience with prostacyclin infusions (e.g., Flolan, Veletri)
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac procedures and equipment
