Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, Night shifts, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a 16-bed dedicated unit.
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, pharmacists, and support staff.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility in scheduling.
- Ensure a compassionate, healing environment tailored to each patient's needs.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety guidelines during patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Valid Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse license (No temporary licenses accepted).
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a relevant specialty.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to floating across units.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in Oncology or Medical Surgical/Telemedicine units.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records.
