Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients in a busy Level 2 trauma center.
• Assist in triage, patient assessments, and emergency procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation using the Cerner system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver respectful and timely patient care.
• Support department policies and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain certification compliance and adhere to hospital and unit-specific policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license from the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse.
• At least 1 year of ER nursing experience in a high-volume setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (ENPC within 90 days of hire).
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with flexibility across all areas of the ED.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on patient experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.
• Previous hospital experience with high patient volumes (>100,000 visits annually).
• Familiarity with advanced emergency procedures and high acuity patient care.
• Experience working in culturally diverse environments and with advanced monitoring and medical equipment.
