• Travel, 13-week assignment, days shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care in a busy Emergency Department, adhering to clinical standards and hospital policies.
• Monitor and document patient status using advanced equipment like GE monitors and Baxter pumps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including techs, unit clerks, and physicians, to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Communicate with patients using respectful, compassionate techniques such as AIDET, ensuring a positive experience.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in Cerner system and ensure timely updates.
Required Qualifications
• Valid registered nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center emergency department.
• Minimum of 1-year ER experience in a high-volume setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including every other weekend, and float within the ED as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience with HCA hospitals preferred.
• Strong teamwork and coaching skills.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and multicultural communities.
