Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a busy Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Monitor and document patient conditions using GE monitors and Baxter pumps within the Cerner documentation system.
• Collaborate with ED team members, including techs and unit clerks, to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery.
• Administer advanced procedures and medications as required, adhering to protocols and safety standards.
• Ensure patient experience requirements are met, including respectful communication and updating boards with visit information.
• Follow department policies, including shift schedules, floating policies within ED sections, and attendance guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume emergency department (over 100,000 visits annually).
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire).
• At least 1-year experience working in an ER setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide real-time coaching and feedback.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with HCA facilities preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment serving over 120 languages.
• Flexibility to work in all sections of the ED and participate in varied procedures.
