- Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to laboring patients in the obstetrics unit.
- Perform triage assessments, inductions, cesarean deliveries, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, and administer magnesium sulfate as required.
- Float to other units within the facility as needed, ensuring competencies are maintained for each assigned task.
- Follow all safety and clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
- At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year recent experience in labor and delivery.
- Ability to float to other units within the hospital based on skill set and competencies.
- Willingness to work weekend and call coverage as per schedule.
- Must send Social Security Number with submittal.
- Complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of receiving login information.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with special procedures such as triage assessments, inductions, cesarean sections, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, and neonatal resuscitation.
- Previous experience with EPIC EMR system in a labor and delivery setting.
