Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within a correctional facility, including assessments and blood draws.
- Follow security protocols; cell phones are not permitted within the secure perimeter.
- Connect families with inmates via medical triage contact numbers.
- Float to other facilities as needed to support staffing.
- Work every other weekend, with shifts starting at 3:00 PM and ending at 11:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license.
- Prior experience with assessments in a correctional or similar setting.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood collection.
- Ability to work flexible hours and float between facilities.
- Must be able to work the designated evening shift.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in correctional health or forensic nursing.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and inmate care procedures.
