- Full-time, 3 days per week, 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and record electroencephalograms (EEGs) following laboratory and medical standards.
- Apply electrodes accurately using the international 10-20 system and ensure electrode impedances meet laboratory standards.
- Recognize and troubleshoot artifacts to ensure high-quality recordings.
- Gather comprehensive patient history, including seizure activity and neurological symptoms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Maintain patient safety and respond appropriately during emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) registration through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant EEG experience, preferably with pediatric patients.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience applying intra-operative EEGs and evoke potential modalities.
- Knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and basic electrical safety.
- Ability to recognize artifacts and adjust procedures accordingly.
- Experience working with Cerner electronic charting systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse healthcare teams.
